The Fifth Anniversary of Ssenge Baptist Church.

*From the Bukeeras*
Good evening from Uganda!
Tomorrow we will be celebrating the fifth anniversary of Ssenge Baptist Church! Praise God with us for his faithfulness over these past five years! We have had some great challenges, yet the joys and encouragements are also many!
We will also be baptising 11 people tomorrow! Thank God that he has worked in the lives of these 11, and that he has led them to a clear understanding and acceptance of the gospel.
We normally have a service in the local language (Luganda) at 9am, and an English (the official language in Uganda) service at 11am. However, tomorrow we will have a joint service of thanksgiving at 11am, following on from the baptisms. After the service we will eat lunch together. We’re catering for around 350 people!
Rejoice with us for God sustaining and growing Ssenge Baptist Church over these past five years!

With love,
Bosco and Heidi xxx

Greetings from Uganda!
This week we booked flights to the UK, and we’re all looking forward to visiting our supporting churches and seeing many of you! Over the next few weeks we will be planning our itinerary. We would love to have an opportunity to share about church planting ministry and life in Uganda in your church! If you would like us to speak in any church meeting, or have a slot during a Sunday service, please do get in touch😊
This year, Ssenge Baptist Church have sent two young men (Titus and Mubanda) for training as part of the Living Word Uganda Apprenticeship Ministry Training. This six month course teaches Bible handling skills, alongside practical ministry skills which are developed in a placement at a like minded church. Titus has fairly recently joined our church, after failing to find Truth in other places. He is an articulate young man, who is eager to gain a deeper understanding of God’s Word. He is a writer of profound spiritual poetry, and is a superb translator when we need meetings translated. Titus is placed at Ebenezer Chapel. Mubanda loves to serve, and on Sundays can often be found in the kitchen preparing lunch for whoever is around after church… and then washing the dishes! He is also one of our Sunday School teachers. Mubanda is placed at Lugogo Baptist Church. The AMT course is a wonderful opportunity for these young men to be trained, and we look forward to them returning to us in a few months as those who can have a big impact in gospel ministry. These two men need financial support in order to complete this training. They cannot be in paid employment during this time, so along with some tuition costs for the course, they also need general upkeep costs including food and transport. Please get in touch if you feel led to support either of these young men financially with a one off gift.
A few weeks ago we found out that Heidi was pregnant, but two recent scans showed that there is no heartbeat. Please pray for us as we go through this miscarriage, that we would know the Lord’s comfort and trust in his sovereignty. It is hard to process such a loss in the midst of a very busy home and ministry. Thank God for some dear friends who have looked after our children to enable Bosco to go with Heidi for scans and appointments.
Thank you for your prayers, for your interest in our family and ministry, and for your generous financial support. Thank you for your partnership in this gospel ministry.
With love,
Bosco and Heidi xxx
