Becoming and making mature disciples of Jesus in Trull and beyond

We believe in…

Becoming mature

Becoming a disciple of Jesus is not merely a one-time decision. It is a lifelong calling.

We want to see people growing in maturity as they continue their discipleship journey, through the ups and downs of life.

Becoming a mature disciple of Jesus means growing to be like Him, learning to joyfully obey Him, and putting down deep roots so we can weather the storms of life.

Making disciples

Making new disciples means introducing people to Jesus for the first time. We want to see new disciples coming to faith and people equipped to share their faith with friends and family. Making new disciples of Jesus means we are wonderfully growing the family of God.

Trull and beyond

As a Church of England parish church, we are commissioned to serve our church family and the community of Trull as our particular ‘patch’. We also have the opportunity to serve and support ‘beyond’ the borders in our new Orchard Grove development, wider Taunton town, our Bath and Wells Diocese, and mission partners.

Therefore go, make disciples of all nations - Matt 28:19

Therefore go, make disciples of all nations - Matt 28:19

Therefore…

We worship God with all of our lives

We want to be disciples of Jesus in the whole of our lives, not just on Sunday. This means being equipped to worship God every day of the week. We worship God in the classroom, at the park, on a ward, in the office, on the farm, around the kitchen table, or over a cup of coffee with friends.

We are transformed by God’s word

We believe that the Bible is God’s Word; a gift to us. It tells God’s story from the beginning, up to today, and into the future. Through it, God reveals His character, as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We treasure that gift – we teach it, study it and we endeavour joyfully, through the Spirit, to obey it in order to know God better. We submit to its authority and sufficiency in all matters of belief and conduct.

We gather with one another as one body

As the body of Christ we are made up of different parts with different gifts to share. When we gather we acknowledge our unity around the gospel. We recognise our differences across services while maintaining that we are one body in Christ and one church family of All Saints.
