Many of you have kindly asked for details about Harry’s climb that I mentioned on Sunday, to raise money for Tearfund’s work for those struggling with the effects of Coronavirus. Tearfund is a Christian relief and development agency who are helping those in poorer countries. Here’s what Harry says:
“I’ve been thinking about how there are so many people in other countries in poverty during this crisis and how we are so lucky that we have water to drink and to wash our hands, and food to eat. So I had the idea of climbing the height of Mount Kilimanjaro (5895m) on our staircase to raise money for a charity called Tearfund which helps people in other countries who are struggling more than us. I will have to go up and down our staircase 2,183 times. As you’ll see from the tally, the family are also helping and we may get to the top of Mt Everest together – if Dad starts making an effort!”

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to Tearfund, so it’s the most efficient way to give – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thank you, in Christ,
Andy and Harry Wadsworth
