Prayer Points Wednesday

Wednesday: Those who are unwell

Father, please comfort all those who are unwell due to Coronavirus or any other reason; and especially for those in hospital who cannot have visitors and are suffering. Please bring healing and peace. We also remember those who have had other medical treatments put on hold for the time being and ask that you will calm their fears and frustrations; in your mercy, stay the hand of any other disease processes Lord. Thank you that we can turn to you as “the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort” (2 Corinthians 1v3). We pray that that truth would be deeply known.

“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8v38-39

Prayer Points Tuesday

Tuesday: Healthcare Workers

Please sustain our healthcare workers and enable the right equipment to be available in plentiful supply. Protect and provide for all those on the frontline and their families – and give them a knowledge of your care in these challenging times. Praying especially for all those we know in our church family and working across healthcare in Taunton.

“But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you.” Psalm 5v11

All Saints Church Quiz Extravaganza

Don’t miss the first All Saints Lockdown Quiz!

Lockdown restrictions have meant that we have been unable to meet with friends and family which has, of course, meant that we have been unable to meet in person as a church family ☹. Two months or so ago, none of us had heard of zoom. Now, not only we do we know about zoom, we now live a lot of our lives virtually via zoom – zoom with friends and family; zoom for church services; zoom for prayer meetings … and, of course, zoom quizzes!

As a church family we have been unable to socialise together outside of a meeting setting. In an attempt to rectify this, in order to facilitate and encourage out spending time together, we are pleased to announce the very first “All Saints Zoom Lockdown Quiz”. And most importantly, this will not be any old quiz – it will be an all-inclusive quiz, which means that you do not have to worry about having to be brainy!!

When:               Sunday 7 June at 5:30pm

For whom:  EVERYONE! There should be something for everyone. We want the quiz to be fun and certainly not one of those exasperating quizzes where you end up feeling, well, not that clever!

Format:       Everyone will be put into teams of 5 and then each team will be put into their own zoom “breakout room” which will allow them to chat, oh, and  discuss their replies. There will be four rounds and the quiz will last between 60-90 minutes – certainly no more than 90 minutes.

Your next step: email [email protected] by 3pm on 7 June to (1) confirm that you would like to take part and (2) say how many people will be wanting to take part from your device within your home. So, if for example, the Wadsworth family wants to take part and there are five of them, that will be one team. However, if there are less than five wanting to take part in your home, you will be randomly put into a team. For example, it could be that a team is made up of three homes, two with two people in each and one with one person in it or a team may be made up of four homes, one with two people in it and three with one person in it.

Don’t miss this opportunity to be part of All Saints’ history – its first 5:30 Lockdown Quiz.
