Bosco and Heidi Bukeera
Meet the Bukeeras
Bosco and Heidi live in Ssenge, Uganda. They have four children: Ezekiel, Eleazar, Talitha and Zebulun.
They have planted Ssenge Baptist church in Ssenge, which is Bosco’s native home, and teach the fundamental doctrines of the Christian faith to their church members.
Heidi, for her part, has a considerable amount of experience of Uganda, having lived there for many years and run a home for street children, who had lost connection with their families. She has previously had close contacts with All Saints Trull, having taught at a local school in the Taunton area.

Ongoing Work
The church is now very active, with Sunday meetings, regular Bible Studies, and continuing fellowship with “a constant stream of visitors”. A feature of Christian Ministry in this locality, is that it is difficult to find churches that can be depended on, to faithfully preach the gospel and emphasize discipleship. Unfortunately, it is not difficult to find that many people in Uganda, mistakenly mix their Christian faith with both traditional African religion and the influences of the secular West. Boso and Heidi are endeavouring to maintain a sound Bible based ministry and combining it with an active demonstration of the love of Christ. Often, they find that their church members have a lack of basic necessities, such as a shortage of food.
At present they meet in a Marquee attached to the rear of their home. But in the future, they intend to construct a church on nearby land that they have purchased.
