THE HIVE ON SATURDAYS

We are sorry to advise that Dot, our Hive Manager who works in The Hive most Saturdays has suffered an accident which sadly means that she will be out of action for a couple of months or so. As a result, The Hive will be closed on Saturdays until Dot is fit enough to return. We’ll let you know when we are able to re-open on Saturdays.

We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause and we all wish Dot a speedy recovery.

JUNE & JULY 2026:

Please note that between now and the end of the School Term – 22 July – quite a number of our volunteer staff will be on holiday. As a result, there will be random days when The Hive will be closed either for a whole day or for a morning (10:00 to 13:00) or afternoon (13:00 to 16:00) session. 

Please also note that should a staff member call in unwell, then we may have to close on very short notice. Obviously, we cannot control this or give notice.

SCHOOL HOLIDAYS 2026:

During the school holidays The Hive will have shorter opening hours: it will still open at 10:00 but will close at 14:00 with last orders at 13:15. These shorter hours will apply from Thursday 23 July until the new school term which starts on 7 September. The Hive’s opening hours will revert to 10:00 to 16:00 on Monday 7 September.

The Hive café, in the heart of the village, is the perfect place to stop and have a cup of tea and a quick chat. Our team of volunteers run the café and serve a selection of teas, coffees, cake, sandwiches and light lunches.

We are open:

10am-4pm Weekdays (lunches served until 2:30pm)

10am-12pm Saturdays (please note current closure above)
