Farewells and Thank Yous

Sam Upham, Children’s and Family Worker: As you all know Sam will soon be leaving us to take up her new post as Mission and Ministry Development Advisor in the Totnes Archdeanery.  Her last Sunday with us will be 19th August but before then we intend to have a Farewell Picnic for Sam and her family on Sunday 22nd July at 1pm in the King George Playing V Field (or in the pavilion if it rains).  Please bring your picnics, chairs, blankets and join in the fun and games provided.  We are holding this before school term breaks up so that the young families and children Sam has worked with over the last 9 years have the opportunity to say goodbye to her before the summer holidays start.

Megan Lambert, Intern: Megan has been with us for a year and will be leaving us to study Biomedical Science at Birmingham University.  Before that she will be helping out at various Christian Summer Camps.  Her last Sunday with us will be Sunday 1st July.  During her time with us Megan has become enthusiastically involved with our 9.30am and 5.30pm services – whether that was leading worship or preaching, she has also been an invaluable aid to both Sam and Ruth with many of the children’s and youth groups/events.  She will be greatly missed in so many aspects of our church life.  We will be thanking her for all of her service to this church at the 5.30pm service on Sunday 1st July and hope that you can join us there to say goodbye.  The service will be followed by refreshments.

Fran Youings, Minister in Training: Although we had a big Farewell and Thankyou to Fran last year as our Youth Worker she was able to remain with us for an extra year in her role as Minister in Training, she (and Tom) will be leaving us on 9th July to join Adrian in Bath and continue her training elsewhere. She will be coming to all of the services on Sunday 8th July in a bid to see as many people as possible to say a personal goodbye to all who have known her in the almost 15yrs that she has been with us in Trull Church.
